Our Response To COVID-19
At Lake Forest Animal Clinic we like to think of our clients and staff as family. Due to recent public health concerns with COVID-19, we have implemented some changes.
New Office Hours: (same hours, just closing one hour earlier on weekdays)
Monday – Friday: 7 am – 6 pm
Saturday: 8 am – 4 pm
Curbside Concierge Service:
All appointments will now be curbside concierge visits. The history or any relevant information about your pet will be discussed over the phone. Then, while you remain in your car in our parking lot, a staff member will come out to your vehicle and pick up your pet for their appointment. The doctor will examine the patient and will then call you to discuss the case. Checkout will be completed over the phone with a credit card when your pet is returned. In addition, any purchased prescriptions, supplies or food will gladly all be delivered to you at your vehicle. Just call us upon your arrival. This has been working very well, and clients can feel safe and protected in their car while we take good care of your pets!
New Vaccine Clinic Protocol and Hours:
We will continue to offer our low-cost vaccine clinic with a few changes. The vaccine clinic will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY with a technician. It will be offered ALL DAY Thursday and Saturday (not just in the afternoon). The vaccine clinic will be by curbside concierge service only.
Vaccine Clinic Hours:
Thursday: 9am – 5 pm
Saturday: 8am – 3:30 pm
Leash and Carrier Policy:
To cut down any possible transmission, it is our goal to leave your collars, leashes, and even carriers in your vehicle. We will bring out our own to come and retrieve your pet. If there are concerns that your pet will not do well with ours, please call ahead of time and let us know.
In an effort to keep our clients and staff safe, we ask that if you are sick with a fever, cough, or flu-like symptoms to please stay home. We would be happy to reschedule your appointment. Also, we will be offering remote video and chat appointments starting this week.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions. We are here for you and your pets!
