Teresa Mishodek – RVT/ Office Manager
Teresa has been in the veterinary field for over 30 years! She has been at Lake Forest Animal Clinic since we opened, and is the hospital manager. Her goals are to provide the best care for all animals and to provide a safe environment for them to come to. Teresa has an African Grey Parrot named Nala, who is 17 years old. Teresa enjoys hiking, working out at the gym, singing in a gospel group, and visiting and spending time with the sick at Hoag Hospital.
Karin – Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist
Karin has been in the veterinary field for over 15 years, and been with us since 2009. She owns a variety of animals: dogs, cats, bunnies, birds and even horses. Karin and her daughter care for foster animals from “high-kill” shelters and adopt them into loving homes. They have saved 9 kittens and 2 dogs from euthanasia this last year alone.
Christina – Veterinary Assistant
Since Christina was 8 years old, she knew she wanted to work with animals. As an adult she followed her dreams and took a Regional Occupation Program Course in Animal Health Care and did an internship with us. Christina is a proud mother to 3 handsome boys, and 2 dogs.
Stephanie – Veterinary Technician
Stephanie grew up with a variety of different animals and always had a passion to work in the veterinary field. She started with us 12 years ago as veterinary assistant and then transitioned to Receptionist followed by veterinary technician. Stephanie spends her free time in the gym and chasing around her 5 year old daughter.
Karyn – Veterinary Receptionist
Karyn has a full house with 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 adorable 4 year old little baby girl. Karyn has worked in the veterinary field for 17 years. She enjoys bowling competitively and spending time with her daughter.
Kim- Veterinary Receptionist
Kim has been in the veterinary field for 29 years. Kim has the ability to make anyone laugh and can put a huge smile on anyone’s face. Her nurturing nature was made to take care of pets and people. Kim’s goal is to learn something new everyday. Kim has one Shih Tzu named Nya and enjoys camping, wine tasting, music, and sports.
Haley – Veterinary Assistant
Haley has a Pitbull named Yogi, and a Highland Lynx named Flynn Rider. She has always felt a deep connection with animals and has always wanted to work with them because they make her so happy. Her goal is to take care of each animal like its her own and make sure that the clients are happy with the results and quality care. Haley is also a yoga instructor and in her free time she enjoys being outdoors doing activities like running, hiking, and even paddle boarding.
Veronica – Veterinary Assistant
Veronica first joined us during an internship with the ROP program at her high school. She began working with us shortly after her graduation. This is Veronica’s first job working with animals. Veronica cherishes her animals and knows that others cherish their own pets as well. She feels it is very rewarding to be able to help animals get better. Veronica has one cat named Tigger and one puppy named Tina. Her goals are to continue her education and gain experience in the veterinary field. She hopes to one day become a veterinarian.
Gena – RVT Gena has been with Lake Forest Animal Clinic since 1997. She has one Irish Setter named Rory and she is looking to adopt another Irish Setter in the future. Rory has had a passion for animals since he was a puppy, especially cats!
Alma – Groomer (Canine and Feline Stylist)
Alma groomed her first dog when she was just 12 years old, and after that she was hooked. She found a school that was taught by an award winning groomer, Marcia Hill and learned the proper way to groom both dogs and cats. She spent 15 years competing in grooming competitions and acquired over 20 awards. Alma has been grooming for 35 years, loves her profession and takes pride in what she does. She loves the challenge of taking a dog or cat that has been turned away from another groomer, has been abused, or is just a young animal that has never been groomed, and transforming them inside and out by building that relationship of trust. She feels every pet is unique and tries to learn and listen to the individual needs of each pet. Alma has two dogs, a Chocolate Lab and a Jack Russell Terrier, and two unique cats, a Bambino, and a Sphynx. Alma has four adorable grandbabies and enjoys spending as much time a s possible with them. She also enjoys traveling, camping, and going to her river house with her husband. We are so thankful to have such an amazing groomer as part of our team, she really is the dog and cat whisperer!
Felicia - Veterinary Receptionist
Felicia has always had a strong passion for animals growing up she had hamsters, guinea pigs, reptiles, fish tanks, cats, and dogs. At home, Felicia lives with a Puggle named Bentley Wellington, a Highland Lynx named Gatsby, a Bengal named Renaldo, and a reef tank with clownfish. She has been working with animals for over 9 years now. Her goal is to become a registered veterinary technician. In her free time she enjoys going to Disneyland and working on her reef tank.
