Affordable Spay and Neuter Services
At Simply Spay and Neuter of OC, we offer affordable spay and neuter services so you no longer need to delay due to financial concerns. Surgical prices cover many facets of the procedure, including a pre-surgical exam, IV fluid administration, pain medication, anesthetic monitoring, thermal support and individual anesthetic recovery monitoring.
Before You Arrive
You can help your low cost spay and neuter appointment go smoothly by preparing ahead of time. This involves filling out a Client Information Packet and bringing a copy with you to Lake Forest Animal Clinic. You also need to restrict food starting the night before to ensure your pet’s stomach is empty. Small amounts of water the morning of surgery is fine.
Spay and Neuter FAQ
It’s reasonable for you to have some important questions about the spay and neuter process. Our veterinarians – including Melissa Byers DVM, Jennifer Self DVM and Jason Trope DVM – are available to address your concerns and make sure you feel comfortable before dropping off your dog or cat.
Pre-Anesthetic Blood Testing
Our greatest concern is for the health and safety of your pet. In addition to the pre-surgical exam, we like to perform a blood test prior to spaying and neutering your animal to help identify any medical conditions (such as liver and kidney problems, blood disorders, existing infections and dehydration. The results of the test may alter our protocols or even give us reason enough to cancel the procedure. Any high risk situation we find warrants further evaluation before we proceed. After all, we put your pet’s health and safety first!
